Personality: Darkfeather is a very stubborn and high-strung she-cat. She likes to do things herself and doesn't like to be told what to do. Darkfeather is a hard cat to get along with, because she is hotheaded and very bossy. Many cats think she will make a great mentor with her detirmination, but others think she is too impatient and demanding. Darkfeather loves kits though, as they are her weakness. She will do anything to protect the future of her Clan, and is fiercely loyal to her Clan, too.
History: Darkfeather was born to ShadowClan warriors Raggedclaw and Icewing. She had two sisters, Bushkit and Sunkit, and one brother, Ripplekit. They grew up together peacefully in the nursery, until one night when their camp was attacked by a RiverClan patrol. RiverClan accused ShadowClan of stealing prey, so they launched an attack while their leader was out to speak with StarClan. He took along with him two of the best warriors and two of the best apprentices. The camp was literally unguarded. Darkfeather's father, Raggedclaw, went out to protect the nursery because of his mate and kits, but one cat, Stonescar, killed him while trying to enter the nursury. Even though she didn't want to, Icewing fled from the nursury to save herself, leaving the four kits all alone. Darkfeather and her sister Bushkit were lucky and managed to scramble out of the nursury through the back before Stonescar could catch them. The large gray tom took the two remaining kits and ran from the scene. Darkfeather and her sister were able to find their mother who wasn't that far away from camp, and they rested in an old badger set until the attack was over. When they returned, the camp was destroyed and many cats were dead, including Raggedclaw. Icewing was too distraught to keep her kits safe with her, so she handed them to another queen, Marblepelt, to take care of. Their mother was so depressed by her mate's death that she killed herself by drowning herself in the lake. A few days later a ShadowClan patrol found her body on the bank, dead. Nobody knew what happened to Sunkit and Ripplekit, but then when Darkfeather and Bushkit, now Bushfrost, went to a Gathering, they saw their siblings there. Sunflower and Ripplestorm didn't know who they were and thought they were born in RiverClan. Darkfeather and Bushfrost were angry at them, but knew it was hopeless. They had lost everything but each other.
IC: (In Character) Darkfeather sprinted with her sister, Bushfrost, to the Gathering. There were so excited that their tails twitched in excitement. Finally, they saw Fourtrees in the distance. Darkfeather boosted up speed and ran faster to get under the tall trees and find her friends. When she walked into the herd of cats, she thought she caught a whiff of something familiar.
"What is it?" her sister asked curiously.
"I don't know. I think I smell something," she replied.
Bushfrost gave her sister a scornful look.
"Of course you smell something you mouse-brain! There are different cats all around us! Sheesh," she hissed playfully.
Darkfeather smiled darkly, then turned and trotted up to her WindClan friend, Breezeflight.
"Hello Breezeflight, how's the prey running?" she asked calmly.
"Good. How about you?" she asked, her amber eyes twinkling.
"Great! Just yesterday I caught a crow, with the help of Bushfrost of course," Darkfeather said, pointing with her tail to Bushfrost who was laughing with a ThunderClan tom.
"So, have you heard the news?"
Darkfeather was startled, and shook her head to tell her friend that she didn't know of any "new" news.
"Well, I heard from Kestreltail, who heard from Ambersight, who heard from Streampaw, who heard from Leafpaw in RiverClan, that there are two new warriors. They turned around the same time you and Bushfrost did."
Darkfeather looked utterly confused. "So?"
"So, I thought that maybe they might be your long-lost brother and sister."
"DON'T EVEN MENTION THEM!" Darkfeather snarled, a little too loudly for their conversation.
"Hey! It's just what I thought, okay? No need to get all rawr with me!"
"Sorry, it's just that.....wait a minute. What are their names?"
"Ripplestorm and Sunflower or somthing like that."
"Great StarClan! It's them! I know them! Where are they?!"
Breezeflight looked please, and pointed them out with her tail to the direction of a group of RiverClan cats.
