Runningwhisker followed the ShadowClan cats into the clearing. He looked up at the Great Rock. Something wasn't right there. It wasn't the leaders that had been there last time, or even the deputies! Something was strange. His eyes flitted over the other cats. He could tell this would not be a boring Gathering.

Amberstar returned Patchstar's glare with a "what are you looking at?" expression. She may not have been popular among the clans before, but just because she was a new leader didn't mean that everyone, including the Shadowclan leader, had to stare and scowl at her. She bit back a hiss of frustration, trying not to look too emotional in front of everyone. And she didn't want to be either, she wanted to become a strong leader of Windclan. But it was so hard, as she had not thought of what to say about the murders. And if Twilightclan had decided to show up at the Gathering, what would Ebonyeyes do when she made that announcement? Her tail lashing back in forth, Amberstar struggled to keep a straight face, but managed to pull it off anyway. She took a deep breath, and mewed in greetings to the Shadowclan leader. "Hello, Patchstar," she mewed as the patchy leader climbed up the Great Rock.
Frostclaw emerged into the clearing alongside her mate, Flamefur. As she stepped into the sacred grounds, she noticed that something wasn't right. This wasn't what she usually saw whenever she came to Gatherings. Looking up at the great rock, she tilted her head in confusion as she saw two new leaders, and a new deputy. Where's Rainstar? And Emberstar? And what about Stripedfur...why isn't Halfheart sitting atop the Great Rock? The three unfamiliar faces on the clans sacred stone made her cringe. What had happened to all the leaders and deputies? Frostclaw turned to her mate with a look of confusion.
Midnightpaw padded into the clearing, and, without noticing the changes on the Great Rock, immediatly ran over to a group of Riverclan and Windclan apprentices who she knew.

Patchstar thought that it would be better to just ignore the new leaders until they gave their explanations. But that plan was cut short when the she-cat smelling of WindClan scent greeted him. At first he just stared at her with a look of slight disgust, but managed to grunt a greeting back to her as he slunk away to the oppposite end of the rock.

ShimmeringSky snickered, "Poor new leaders... the older ones.. they might rip your fur off!" She meowed to herself. To tell you the truth, sh ewwas alone. No one ever came to talk to her, and she didn't know anyone. Her eyes were blind. Her fur relaxed.

Stormwind saw a she-cat [ShimmeringSky] sitting by herself. She looked lonely. He started to walk over to her. As he got near he recognised the RiverClan scent, but when he saw her face he didn't recognise it. "Hey. Who are you?" the ShadowClan tom asked, coming to sit by her.

"I am ShimmeringSky, You?" She meowed. Well... he is shadowclan, that is for sure! "I am RiverClan's Medicince Cat Apprentice. " Her eyes just stared blankly which she was surprised he didn't care. Usually some cats take notice of it.

Stormwind paused before replying. She was talking to him yet she wasn't looking at him.. strange. He shrugged and mewed, "RiverClan's medicine cat apprentice? How come your name isn't an apprentice name? Where you a warrior before?"

"Well, I had been a warrior apprentice. I was made a medicine cat apprentice... Because I am blind. I could still hunt though." Her voice filled with hurt as they refused to make her an official warrior. "Everyday I wen to the medicine cat's den and... I liked it alot." She paused, "I think I was made for this." She still felt the hurt when she spoke of not being a warrior, but she ignored it and pushed it away. "What about you? Are you a warrior?"

Stormwind gave ShimmeringSky a sympathetic smile even though he knew she wouldn't be able to see it. He didn't really know what to say to her, because normally that look would say everything for him. The tom poked at the ground with his forepaw as he mewed, "I'm glad that you have found where you belong. I guess it wouldn't be easy to be blind. I take so much for granted sometimes." He flicked a pebble away with his paw and continued, "Yeah, I'm a warrior, it gets a little boring, actually."

She smiled. "Funny. Yu never know what you have... until it's gone." She purred, "It is nice to talk to some one. Being a medicicnce cat you don't really make many friends. It is like we are... Isolated!" She meowed.

Amberstar nodded back to the emerging leader, and shook her head in disgust. It wasn't going to be easy to explain to all these cats the deaths of everyone, especially if Ebonyeyes were to show up.
Midnightpaw was talking to her many apprentice friends when she finally noticed the changes. She hissed in disgust at the two new leaders. She had nothing against those cats at first, but the thought of losing two wise and noble leaders made her cringe. What if these cats had murdered the former leaders?
Iceheart purred, her mate nuzzling her. But she stopped when she saw a new leader, AND deputy, emerge into the clearing along with the Shadowclan cats. Losing Rainstar, one of her best friends, was bad enough, but now Emberstar is gone too. What is going on? What are our clans turning into? she thought worriedly. She looked at Tigereye with a look of mixed confusion and hurt.

ShimmeringSky turned away distracted, "Be quiet, all of you. They are just serving their clans." She couldn't understand how rude these cats were acting. She didn't mind them. They worked their tails off for this job. Such a cat should be honored.

Midnightpaw narrowed her eyes at the blind cat and turned away in a huff. "Jeez, older cats ruin all the fun," she muttered to herself and her friends.
Iceheart twitched at the cat's remark. She honored the newly made leaders too, but she had never really recognized the white and black cat that sat before her. Her eyes seemed to stare into nothingness, but yet, they made Iceheart seem to wonder.
Lightpelt noticed a dark-colored cat who was sitting sadly in the middle of the clearing. Happily, she trotted over to the lonely cat. "Hi, I'm Lightpelt! Whats your name?"

ShimmeringSky's blind eye twitched, "For your information... I am only 15 moons old... Apprentices... they think they know it all." Her meowed echoed. "Stupid..... The eyes make me look Older" She meowed scornfully.

Lionpaw looked at the medicine cat apprentice from his Clan. He knew she was blind, but he didn't know how. He never really wanted to ask either.
